When you have no motivation - 16.8.15

Jumper - Zara

We've all been there, maybe we've had a little too much time off or you're in the middle of a project and you just run out of steam. I'm on my 'summer holidays' right now, inbetween college and uni,  months which should be packed full of stuff but in reality they're not. And I'm bored. I suppose I'm always like this, if I don't have things planned or work to do I get so bored and and up sitting around watching netflix all week, not as great as it sounds. I get stuck in a rut, a funk, that's tricky to get out of so here's some tips if your finding yourself there.

GET OUT OF BED
You know those days where you have nothing to do but you're restless anyway? You just lay in bed, awake, thinking nothing, doing nothing? Get up! Get out of bed and go make yourself a tea, put your make up on, do your hair, make yourself feel good. I know it sounds simple but when you're there in that moment and youre fed up, in can be a push to even do that.

GO OUT
Make yourself go out, even if you have no plans. Go to your local cafe, drink coffee and read a good book, just spend a couple hours away from your house, it may seem pointless but trust me its good to get out of the house and do stuff. Okay it might not kick your motivation for work or uni back in but it's good to just take a little time and it'll make you feel better to not be stuck in the same 4 walls

THROW YOURSELF INTO SOMETHING
You have 3 project to do but no motivation? Throw yourself into one of them. They need to get done so just arrange an evening just to focus on one of them, pick the one that excited you the most and throw yourself into it. The rest will follow.#
You have nothing to do and you're bored as? Throw yourself into a project. Make yourself something to do, think about what inspires you and create something to do that excites you. Whether you're an artist, a fashion student or and writer just do it. It might be the worst thing you've ever done but it might also be one the best.

TAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF
The most important thing you can do is just take yourself away from everything. Listen to new music, go for a long walk, read a good book, pamper yourself, do whatever it is you enjoy! I know sometimes itsd difficult to pull yourself away from it ll, clear your head and focus on something else but sometimes its also the best thing.

CLEAN/SORT OUT
This takes effort, i know. Right now the reason for my lack of motivation is part holiday blues and part i hate my room. Its so messy and unorganised and everything is just chucked in places. So sort it out, rearrange it, clean it, get rid of stuff you dont need or wear or like. Spend a day on it, put some good music on and focus on it. Change it all up, sometimes a good sort out is all you need.

TRAVEL
So this one might be a little more difficult but you don't have to go on a big elaborate trip or weekend away. Sometimes it can be good just to get out of your town or city, the same streets can be so uninspiring. Hop on a train to the next city over, for the day or the weekend. If you can afford a night or two abroad even better but just get out and explore and gather new inspiration.

Metallics - 7.8.15

Sandals - Zara
Boots - Missguided

I'm always, always in black shoes, without a question they just go so much better with everything, but there's something about metallics right now. I'm not one to wear glitter or shiny pieces so when something came over me last week and I ended up grabbing not one, but two pairs of metallic shoes you can understand why I'm so excited about them.
Admittedly I didn't realise how chunky and monstrous these boots would be when I ordered them. I'm not entirely sure how to style them but I always like a challenge. These sandals from Zara, however,  are much easier to work with, if not a little tight, a super cute match with skinny jeans. What's your take on wearing metallics?

PS these sandals are my first ever purchase from Zara(!) Don't worry, I've seen the error of my ways, I can't believe what I've been missing all this time!

4 Instagrams You Need To Follow - 4.8.15

Everyone loves scrolling through their instagram feed and seeing photos worth being envious over, beautiful places around the world and of course food that makes your mouth water. Or is that just me? Anyways I thought I'd share my favourite instagrams with you, whether you're refreshing your feed or just need a little inspiration.

I've been following Lisa for like 2 years now, she's a dutch fashion - lifestyle blogger and her feed is pretty much perfect. It's a typical fash blogger instagram with an injection of real life, the perfect white aesthetic and pin-spiration for almost everyone. She's the sort of instagram goals I'm aspiring too, fingers crossed *winky emoji*

This feed is pure goals. It's like a miniature dose of tumblr with beautifully captured photos and a whitewash theme, obvs. There's not much I can say about thatcitychic except it's a must follow. This feed pretty much talks for itself!

I haven't been following Yomamma for ages but I'm already in love. Here's a lady who loves life, travelling and pretty things, her feed might possible leave you a little jealous but with a injection of quirky faces and stunning outfit pics you can't go wrong.

I couldn't just not include my own insta could I? Maybe it's a little cheeky of me and okay it's not on the same goal worthy levels as llittleblonde or thatcitychic but I promise to reach some sort of instagram goals in the coming months and keep your feed in constant warm hues, or maybe I'll turn whitewash too? Whatcha think?

Who are your favourite and must follow instragrammers?
