Denim Dedicated - 28.7.15

Shirt - Primark
Jeans - ASOS (exact/similar)
Necklace - ASOS

The weather is so dreary at the moment, it's all cloud and rain and I'm left wondering where the sun went? Like seriously I feel like we've barely had any summer and it's only July! I'm super bummed out that I'm already back wearing jeans and long sleeves but I suppose that's England for you.

Unrelated, how long has it been since we had denim on FD? 3 weeks? Maybe i should just become a denim dedicated blog, whatcha think? In my defence denim is such an easy wardrobe staple, i mean what's not to love?  Double denim on the other hand is a little more risky but it's also one of my favourite trends and this look is probably my go to for cloudy summer days. Like these jeans, which I grabbed from ASOS a few weeks back, that have instantly became my favourite jeans like everrr. I find myself them with everything because they go with literally everything so expect to see them quite a few more times in the future!

What are you're feelings about double denim?

Summer Reading List - 25.7.15

I'm a sucker for a good book. But I always buy way to many and now I just have stacks of them around my room waiting to be read! So I thought I'd share these few with you which are next on my list to be read. I suppose it's a little reading list for those days, like today, when all you want to do is curl up in bed with a good book.

I can guarantee I'll buy more books before the summer is up but for now I'm trying to be good *winky face*. I'm excited to read these mainly because a few of them were recommendations from you guys, which reminds me, are there any books you're loving at the moment?

~ Links below if you fancy a read! ~
Where she went - Gayle Forman
Us - David Nicholls
Boys Don't Cry - Malorie Blackman
The Longest Ride - Nicholas Sparks

A Day in Lindos - 20.7.2015

Wearing || Trousers - Next || Vest - Primark || Sunglasses - Asos ||

Hey guys! This is my last post from Greece (boo) and gosh how I wish I was still there *sad face*.
Anyways we shot these in beautiful Lindos in between visiting the Acropolis, eating pizza in the rooftop restaurants and paddling in the nearby mountain springs. You've probably seen these trousers before, if you like the facebook page, because I've been dying to show them off. I love them so much I could live in them, no joke. I mean I was a little apprehensive when I first tried them (wide leg trousers? On a short girl? I mean c'mon.) but they're actually quite flattering, a lot more forgiving then I'd imagined and just like that I think I'm converted to wide leg trousers. I still have to watch out for looking short and frumpy but these ones, with the pattern and everything, perfect.

I went a little crazy with editing these pics but what do you think?
There's so many pictures i didnt get to use, which bums me out a little.

First from Greece - 13.7.2015

Knit vest - Primark (£3! What!)
Skirt - H&M
Necklaces - ASOS

Hello from Rhodes! Well at least that's where we shot these pictures.
If you like FD on facebook then you'll know I was in Rhodes all last week, celebrating my birthday and just generally lazing around the pool.

It was so hot in Greece (37 degrees!), the only thought going into my outfits was simply not over heating, so this little look was really quickly thrown together for a trip into Rhodes old town. The vest has become one of my faves, I couldn't tell you how many times I wore it last week, just out of sheer embarrassment that I hardly took it off! I was a little worried that the knit would be too hot but as its oversized it was so breezy, especially tucked into this little A-line skirt.

Now reading || Warm Bodies - Issac Marion (A little late on this one, I know, but it's such a good book, I'd recommend it to anyone!) ||

Wednesday

Dancing in the Street - 1.7.15

Skirt - Next
Shoes - H&M
Shirt - I've had it so long, i have no idea!

There's something about flow-y floral skirts that makes me all happy, like I just wanna dance to rock 'n' roll music like they did in the 1940s and drink milkshakes in super cute retro diners (just me?). I was almost skipping down the street when I wore this outfit the other day. The sun was out, college has just finished and the whole world seemed happy. It took some self control not to dance around in the road but it's this skirt, honest! It speaks to me on so many levels, its summery, painterly, bold, pink and black. And it makes me uber excited for the summer.
