Savage Beauty - 21.5.15

Yesterday I found myself in sunny london to for a visit to the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibition. I've been waiting to go since I found out it was coming to the V&A back in 2014 and it really didn't disappoint. There's so much I could say, I could talk about it for ages but I won't bore you for too long.

For those who don't know, Alexander McQueen is possibly the greatest fashion designer there ever was or will be, honestly, I'm not exaggerating, and finally the Savage Beauty exhibition came to London this summer. It displays works from his graduate collection right through to his final, unfinished A/W 2010 collection.

His collections are more than just fashion, they're works of art. Constantly surpassing his own boundaries with exquisite detailing and innovative tailoring there's no body else close. Personally I feel Alexander McQueen had only just hit his prime when he left us, which only makes losing him even more tragic. I can only imagine the extraordinary places he'd be taking us if he was still designing today.

If you're in London before August 2nd I can't encourage you enough to go and visit this exhibition, its extraordinary (i ended up spending 2 and a half hours in there!). The atmosphere in each room is amazing, they really take you through the different era's of McQueen.
See I'm talking way too much! I just urge you to visit, you wont regret it!

PS you're not allowed to take any pictures so I borrowed these pics from some lovely cheeky peeps on Instagram (I tried to take my own but the security guard really wasn't happy with me (oops))

Get tickets for the exhibition here! Kisses x
